A • Cut & Bend & Welded Wire Mesh Plant Supervisor• is responsible for overseeing the production processes in a facility that manufactures wire mesh products. These products are used in various industries such as construction, fencing, automotive, and industrial applications. The plant supervisor ensures that the production process of cutting, bending, and welding wire mesh is carried out efficiently, safely, and to quality standards. Below are some key responsibilities, required skills, and qualifications for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervision of Production Team :

• Lead and manage the team responsible for cutting, bending, and welding wire mesh.
• Assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure adherence to production schedules.
• Provide training and ensure that workers are following safe work practices and quality standards.

Production Management :

• Ensure smooth operations by overseeing the wire mesh production processes, including raw material handling, cutting, bending, and welding.
• Monitor machine operation to ensure minimal downtime and efficient performance.
• Adjust production schedules to meet deadlines or resolve production issues.

Quality Control :

• Ensure that finished products meet the required specifications and quality standards.
• Implement quality control checks and ensure compliance with industry standards or customer requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve quality issues in collaboration with the team.

Safety & Compliance :

• Enforce health and safety regulations within the plant, ensuring compliance with all local regulations (e.g., OSHA, ISO).
• Ensure that all equipment is maintained in a safe condition and that workers use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions to minimize workplace accidents.

Maintenance & Equipment Management :

• Oversee the maintenance and proper functioning of machines involved in cutting, bending, and welding wire mesh.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams to schedule and perform preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment.

Inventory Management :

• Monitor the availability of raw materials, such as wire rods, and ensure they are ordered in time to prevent production delays.
• Manage stock levels and ensure efficient use of materials.

Troubleshooting & Problem Solving :

• Address any operational issues that arise during production and work with the team to develop solutions.
• Coordinate with other departments, such as quality control, logistics, and maintenance, to resolve production challenges.

Documentation and Reporting :

• Maintain production logs, time records, and quality control data.
• Prepare regular reports on production performance, including output, waste, and quality issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Technical Skills :

• Knowledge of wire mesh production techniques, including cutting, bending, and welding.
• Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting cutting, bending, and welding machinery.
• Understanding of electrical and mechanical systems related to production machinery.

Leadership & Team Management :

• Strong leadership skills with experience in supervising production teams.
• Ability to motivate and guide workers, ensuring high performance and morale.
• Conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities.

Quality Control & Attention to Detail :

• Strong attention to detail, especially when it comes to quality control.
• Ability to identify defects or production inefficiencies and address them quickly.

Safety & Regulatory Knowledge :

• In-depth understanding of workplace safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Experience in implementing safety procedures and training workers to adhere to them.

Experience :

• Typically, at least 5-7 years of experience in a wire mesh or metalworking production environment, with a minimum of 2-3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• A background in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field is often preferred.

Education :

• A high school diploma is usually the minimum requirement, though a technical diploma or degree in engineering, industrial management, or manufacturing is often preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to AED3,000.00 per month
