Job Description

Our client is an owner-run logistics company that offers solutions in the fields of sea freight, air freight, project logistics, and contract logistics. This family-owned company was founded in 1852 in Bremen, Germany.We are seeking a meticulous and efficient Customs Clearance Officer to join the logistics team for a 1-month temporary contract. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating the clearance of goods through customs to ensure timely and accurate delivery.Key Responsibilities:Sea Shipments:

Process Bill of Entry (BOE) for import and export shipments.
Pay Dubai Port Charges (DPC) and any applicable fees.
Arrange inspections as required and coordinate with inspection authorities.
Issue gate passes for cleared shipments.
Manage and pay storage charges when applicable.
Prepare Exit/Entry Certificates for export shipments.
Coordinate VAT inspections for export shipments.

Air Shipments

Process Bill of Entry (BOE) for both import and export air shipments.
Coordinate inspection bookings and ensure timely inspections.
Prepare necessary documents for VAT inspections and non-remittance cases.
Submit non-remittance and deposit documents to customs authorities.

General Responsibilities:

Apply for Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) approvals for both sea and air shipments.
Ensure all customs documentation is accurately prepared and submitted in a timely manner
Liaise with shipping agents, customs officials, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth clearance processes.
Stay updated with changes in customs regulations and ensure compliance.
Must have experience with Dubai Trade Portal

Location: Port Saeed, DeiraTimings: Monday to Friday | 8am to 5pm**This is a temporary opportunity, candidates having their own visa and immediately available will be considered**
