About the Role :
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Curtain Tailor and Furniture Upholsterer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for craftsmanship and a keen eye for design. You will be responsible for creating, altering, and repairing custom curtains, drapes, and upholstery for furniture, ensuring high-quality finishes and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities :

• Measure, cut, and sew fabric for custom curtains, drapes, and blinds according to client specifications.
• Design and create upholstery for furniture, including chairs, sofas, and headboards.
• Repair or replace damaged upholstery, including fabric, padding, and framework.
• Work with various materials such as fabric, leather, and vinyl.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide professional advice on fabric choices, designs, and finishes.
• Install curtains and drapes at client locations, ensuring a precise fit and aesthetic appeal.
• Maintain and operate sewing machines, staplers, and other upholstery tools.
• Ensure all work adheres to high-quality standards and project timelines.
• Keep up-to-date with trends and advancements in curtain and upholstery design.

Qualifications :

• Proven experience as a curtain tailor and/or furniture upholsterer.
• Proficiency in sewing, cutting, and pattern making.
• Strong knowledge of different fabric types and their applications.
• Ability to work with hand and power tools specific to upholstery work.
• Good attention to detail and craftsmanship.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle custom or complex requests.
• Strong communication skills to interact with clients and team members.
• Physical stamina to handle heavy materials and furniture.

Preferred Skills :

• Experience with both modern and traditional upholstery techniques.
• Familiarity with design software or tools for pattern creation.
• Knowledge of interior design principles.
