The Crewing Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating the crewing activities for the company's fleet. This role ensures that all vessels are adequately manned with qualified personnel in compliance with international regulations, company policies, and client requirements. The Crewing Coordinator works closely with various stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and timely crew changes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Crew Management:
• Maintain up-to-date crew lists and ensure all personnel records are current.
• Coordinate crew changes, including travel arrangements, visas, and certifications.
• Ensure compliance with international maritime regulations and company policies.
• Monitor crew performance and handle any issues related to crew welfare and conduct.
• Assist in the recruitment and selection of crew members, ensuring they meet the required standards and qualifications.
• Scheduling and Planning:
• Develop and maintain crew rotation schedules.
• Ensure that all crew members are aware of their schedules and any changes.
• Liaise with ship captains and other relevant parties to ensure smooth crew changes.
• Documentation and Compliance:
• Ensure all necessary documentation for crew members is up-to-date and compliant with relevant regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of crew certifications and training.
• Prepare and submit required reports to regulatory bodies and company management.
• Communication:
• Act as the main point of contact for crew members regarding scheduling and logistical issues.
• Communicate effectively with internal departments, clients, and external agencies.
• Handle inquiries and resolve any issues related to crew operations.
Qualifications:
• Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a crewing or maritime coordination role.
• Experience in the maritime industry is highly preferred.
• Skills and Competencies:
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.
• Proficiency in using crewing management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of international maritime regulations and certification requirements.
