Job Description

We are looking for a Credit Risk Underwriter with UAE experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze financial data related to loan/credit requests.
• Evaluate loan/credit documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Perform risk assessments on potential loan/credit recipients based on credit rating, borrowing history, and other specific risk factors.
• Record loan denials and specific basis for declining application.
• Monitor and report noncompliance with loan/credit covenants.
• Maintain client relationships and provide superior customer service.
• Assist with technical underwriting issues and questions.
• Review loan/credit documentation and vendor reports to identify signs of fraudulent activity.
• Develop and implement underwriting policies and procedures.
• Handle required security from clients/customers like mortgage of property, security cheque or any other instruments appropriate as per region to secure company's credit lines catered to customers.

Qualifications/Skills:

• Applied knowledge of underwriting fundamentals and standard industry practices
• Understanding of basic financial principles and processes
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulatory requirements
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure to meet strict deadlines

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of underwriting or credit and risk analysis experience
• Preferably 30-45 years old
• Experience with underwriting automation tools preferred
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)
