THE POSITION

We are looking for a Credit Manager based in Dubai. This position will be responsible for managing all credit risks for the whole IMETA (India, Middle East, Turkey and Africa) region for both HP (Human Pharma) and AH (Animal Health). The credit manager will be accountable for the entire credit granting process, including the consistent application of our Corporate credit guideline, periodic credit reviews of existing customers and the assessment of the creditworthiness of potential and existing customers, with the goal of optimizing the company's sales and minimizing the company's credit losses.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

Credit Management:
  • Act as an operational lead for MEA export countries, and provide guidance and oversee credit management process for legal entities in IMETA
  • Manage and maintain relations effectively with agents, customers, credit reporting agencies and sales function
  • Process customer refunds, process and review account adjustments, and resolve client discrepancies and short payments
  • Review and maintain new and existing customers risk assessment reports to ensure suitable credit worthiness and credit limits
  • Prepare financial and collection reports and research contractual obligations related to collection of funds
  • Monitor and maintain assigned accounts and handle customer reconciliations and process credit memos Ensure resolution of issues with shipments block and unblock
Credit Operations:
  • Maintain the corporate credit policy and localize it to fit the region needs
  • Lead the creation of a credit scoring model and monitor the credit granting and updating process
  • Establish and maintain relations with largest customers and ensure investigation of their credit applications
  • Monitor periodic credit reviews and deductions being taken by customers
  • Manager the application of late fees and corporate financing programs
  • Support the business by implementing credit limits, credit insurance for the new customers
  • Act as the first point of contact for escalations for the legal entities with IMETA management Oversee local and regional credit management reporting and act as a single point of contact for all corporate queries

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics or related ; MSc / MBA of advantage
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a Finance, Accountant, Controller or Credit Manager position
  • Experience working in Pharma or a multinational are preferred
  • System knowledge and experience in SAP is a must
  • Previous experience in credit scoring and credit-related regulations is preferred
  • Proficiency in English, in its written and oral form is a must
  • Proficiency in Arabic and/or French is an advantage
  • Certification in CPA, ACCA, CFA or related is an advantage
  • Excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Able to work independently and with initiative and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills with effective communication to build and maintain relations
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills
  • Analytical skills and strategic thinking Capable of organizing, planning, and prioritizing workload
