Job Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Credit Controller to join our finance team. The successful candidate will assist with managing accounts receivable, supporting debt collection efforts, and ensuring the timely receipt of payments. This role is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail and strong organizational skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with Credit Management: Help assess and maintain customer credit limits, under the guidance of senior team members.
• Debt Collection: Following up on overdue accounts through phone calls, emails, or letters. Monitor aged debt reports and ensure timely follow-up.
• Account Reconciliation: Assist in reconciling customer accounts and help resolve discrepancies between customer records and internal data.
• Payment Processing: Help process customer payments and monitor bank transactions, ensuring proper allocation to accounts.
• Assist in Reporting: Help prepare basic reports on aged debt, outstanding balances, and collection efforts for review by the Credit Control Manager.
• Customer Communication: Provide support in responding to customer queries regarding payments and account details.
• Collaborate with Teams: Work with the sales, customer service, and finance teams to assist in resolving payment issues and ensuring timely collections.
• General Administrative Support: Provide general support in the credit control department as needed, including filing, data entry, and organizing documents.
Requirements:
• Education: A high school diploma is required; a degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business is a plus but not required.
• Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is a plus.
Skills:
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (e.g., data entry, basic formulas).
• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a plus
• Willingness to learn and develop skills in credit control and finance.
