CHVAC EMEA is a leading provider of innovative heating, ventilation, and air conditioning solutions in the European, Middle Eastern, and African regions.We are looking for a Credit & Collections Lead, MEA with functional expertise to provide input to the design, development, and administration of credit and collections programs throughout the region. Working in partnership with other leaders, you will drive the adoption of existing and new processes and procedures across the order to cash activities.You will also manage a team supporting the day-to-day performance of their jobs, overseeing the collection of customer accounts and the control of credit risk in a manner that ensures customer satisfaction, staff engagement and stakeholder participation. You must be able to communicate in an efficient, friendly manner with customers, as well as with the broader accounts receivable, finance and sales teams. You will be expected to be a change agent, a self-starter and be able to work effectively in a virtual environment with regionally dispersed colleagues.What will your responsibilities be?
Lead, motivate and coach collection team members to achieve expected company targets.
Responsible for the collection and the maintenance of account receivables: contact customers, follow up on payments and engage late payer to maximize collection efficiency and minimize cost of bad debt.
Negotiate and define payment plans and collection strategies.
Maintain credit files, prepare credit assessment of new and existing customers, and approve credit limits in line with Limits of Authority.
Engage with sales on terms and collateral negotiations.
Visit customers & sales staff periodically to build partnerships and trust.
Manage offshore and branch portfolios.
Ensure regional portfolios are compliant with corporate credit policies.
Promote a culture of continuous process improvement and collaborate actively with other departments.
Identify credit risk and mitigating factors.
Oversee letter of credit, bank guarantee and documentary credit negotiation for the region.
Measure and analyse Collections & Receivables performance, adjust strategy and resources accordingly.
Identify, report and expedite resolution of customer disputes.
Build and maintain relationship with collection agencies, banks, legal provider and other third parties involved in collection activities.
Deliver the company Receivables Cash Flow performance for the region by reducing bad debt costs, improving collections efficiency and reducing Past Due & DSO.
Notify Leadership of significant issues impacting collection of outstanding receivables.
What are the requirements?
10-year experience in Credit & Collection in a multinational company environment
University Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or similar field.
Knowledge and experience working in the Middle East & Africa region (MEA).
