Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Credit Analyst to join our banking credit card sales team. The Credit Analyst will be responsible for evaluating and analyzing financial information to determine the creditworthiness of applicants and ensuring compliance with the bank's credit policies. This role requires a strong understanding of financial principles, excellent analytical skills, and a customer-focused approach.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate credit card applications by analyzing applicants' financial statements, credit history, and other relevant documents.
• Assess risk factors and recommend approval or rejection of applications based on established credit policies.
• Work closely with the sales team to ensure timely and accurate processing of credit card applications.
• Prepare credit reports and maintain accurate records of assessments and approvals.
• Monitor credit limits and customer payment patterns to identify potential risks.
• Ensure compliance with banking regulations and internal policies.
• Provide insights and recommendations to enhance credit approval processes and reduce risks.
• Maintain effective communication with applicants to gather additional information when needed.

Requirements:

• Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Credit Analyst, preferably in the credit card or retail banking field.
• Strong understanding of credit risk analysis, financial statements, and credit policies.
• Proficiency in using financial analysis tools and software.
• Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
• Effective communication skills to interact with clients and team members.
• Knowledge of UAE banking regulations and market practices is a plus.
