Crawler Crane Operator
Job Description
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Inspecting equipment and machinery before each use to ensure operational safety
• Operating crawler cranes to lift, move and position heavy materials and equipment
• Monitoring and adjusting necessary controls to regulate crane movement according to written, verbal or signal instructions
• Checking load weights to ensure they don't exceed crane or equipment load specifications
• Maintaining and repairing crane as needed
• Ensuring the safety of the work environment by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
• Communicating with other construction staff, using radio and signal systems
• Maintaining logs, maintenance records and accident reports
• Setting up and dismantling cranes and hoisting equipment
