Ensures costume pieces, including prop costumes are laundered, washed, steamed and pressed
Returns all costume pieces to their appropriate location in costume facility
Conducts quality control checks of all costumes and costume props on daily basis
Checks green rooms daily for any remaining costume pieces, hangers and other items
Makes small repairs to costumes by hand sewing on site and takes larger pieces to the shop
Writes alterations/repair tags and tracks the progress of the costumes in repair
Participates in off-site or on-site public relations and special events involving costumes and performers as per set schedules
Maintains accurate and up-to-date costume inventory levels
Ensures the upkeep and tidiness of the costuming distribution, storage and laundry facilities
Supports in a dressing capacity as requested, including helping performers during shows or appearances
Works closely with stage management on any costuming related concerns
Reports costuming related notes/issues to the management team immediately
Helps with costuming distribution systems as requested by management including checking in and out costumes daily, delivering costumes to green rooms, replacing costume pieces throughout the day and other tasks as assigned by management
Attends department meetings as requested
Assists with administrative tasks as requested by management
Has the ability to carry and move relatively heavy items
Performs other duties as requested by management
Essential:
Higher secondary or equivalent education
Minimum of 1 year working experience
Computer skills: word, excel and powerpoint
Proficiency in reading, writing and speaking English
Highly organized and attentive to details
Desirable:
Associate degree in theatre or fine arts
Certificate or higher in textile industry
2 years laundry facility and/or hotel uniform facility
2 years of experience within theme park, theatrical productions or cruise ships
