We are looking for an experienced Costing Supervisor to join Gulf Craft. Candidates with experience in the Maritime and/or Shipbuilding industry is preferrable, however, experience in other industries is acceptable. Below is a brief of the roles & responsibilities. \xc2\xb7 Responsible to control and monitor project total expenditure including verifying and checking of invoices and claims from suppliers, vendors and subcontractors to ensure that all project expenditures are captured and properly recorded. \xc2\xb7 Provide planning and cost controlling support for all projects which includes variation reporting, monitoring of milestone progress to the preparation of customer billing processes, etc \xc2\xb7 Perform and manage project activity scheduling and monitoring \xc2\xb7 Perform technical and commercial review of EPCI (Engineering Procurement Construction and Installation) long time tenders (subcontractors quotations) for the preparation of Service agreements \xc2\xb7 Ensure effective project implementation and utilize productive reports from the creation of WBS (Work break down structure) with the use of project management system to monitor the status of all purchases, invoicing and delivery up to the closure of the project. \xc2\xb7 Coordinate and work with the project management team to resolve project issues to ensure the delivery/completion of the project work. \xc2\xb7 Attend project meetings and discussions with the PMT (Project Management Team) and external clients \xc2\xb7 Perform project costing related reporting to the team and managements review on a monthly basis to ensure that expenditures are kept within the project budget. \xc2\xb7 Provide cost control and planning advice to the internal PMT as and when required.
Planning, Studying, and collecting data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory and labor.
Analyzing data collected and recording results
Analyzing changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods or services provided, to determine effects on cost
Analyzing actual manufacturing costs and preparing periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs
Recording cost information for use in controlling expenditures
Analyzing audits of costs and preparing reports
Making estimates of new and proposed product costs
Providing management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services.
Maintaining Cost Accounting System
Assisting in Month end close of the General Ledger
Conducts physical inventories and monitors cycle count program
Reconciles finished goods inventories
Any other tasks assigned by the Line Manager
