• Identifying factors affecting costs, such as production time, materials, and labor
• Reading blueprints and technical documents in order to prepare estimates
• Collaborating with engineers, foreman, clients, and contractors
• Calculating, analyzing, and adjusting estimates
• Recommending ways to cut costs
• Gathering and analyzing data to estimate the amount of money, time, materials, and labor required to complete a project, provide a service, or manufacture a product
• Preparing bids, hiring subcontractors and placing orders with vendors
• Using actual expenses to update materials and labor cost databases
• Visiting sites to verify proposal accuracy, take photos and make additional observations
• Analyzing historical data and current trends to improve processes and reduce costs
Desired experience:
• Be active in knowledge management portals and communities with regard to forum questions and discussions
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline or demonstrated combination of equivalent education and experience 5+ year's industrial and project related experience
• Possess a thorough knowledge of all engineering disciplines, technologies and job site management Experience in estimating, installation, demolition and supervision is required
• Must be a self-starter and maintain vigilance in the execution of assignments
Education:
Mechanical engineer or related qualifications with minimum 2 years of industrial experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
