Job Purpose The Cost Engineer will be responsible for ensuring effective cost control on the BP_ROO_EPCM project. This role plays a critical part in enhancing the financial performance of the project through accurate estimating, monitoring, and reporting of costs, as well as managing changes in a dynamic environment.

Job Responsibilities Develop and maintain cost estimates for various project phases, particularly during the FEED design and Brownfield estimation stages. Perform thorough analysis of project costs, including VOWD (Value of Work Done), MLO (Monthly Level of Effort), and forecasts while incorporating potential changes and risks. Maintain comprehensive change control processes and documentation to track project changes. Prepare cost reports and job packages for submission to the Project Controls Manager and other stakeholders. Analyze cost performance indices to identify trends and recommend corrective actions to improve cost efficiency. Collaborate with project teams to ensure alignment on cost-related deliverables and objectives. Support internal and external cost reporting requirements within the challenging project environment. Assist in the development of cost management strategies and best practices.

Functional Responsibilities Control project costs and analyze cost performance indices regularly. Conduct thorough reviews of contracts and change orders to assess cost implications. Ensure adherence to KBR's financial and reporting standards. Provide support to various departments by supplying timely cost information for decision-making.

Technical Skills Expertise in cost engineering principles within the oil and gas industry, particularly in FEED design and brownfield projects. Proficient in cost estimating software, project management tools, and cost control methodologies. Solid understanding of project control concepts including change management, forecasting, and financial analysis.

Soft Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and manage multiple priorities. Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail.

Experience Minimum of 10 years of direct experience in cost engineering, including delivering VOWD, MLO/Forecasts, change control, and internal & external cost reporting within a dynamic and challenging environment. Proven track record in cost management and oversight in large-scale projects.

Qualifications Mandatory: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
