Job Summary:
We are looking for a meticulous Civil Cost Controller with a strong background in substation construction to manage and oversee the financial aspects of civil engineering projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for budgeting, cost estimation, and financial reporting to ensure project efficiency and adherence to financial targets.
Key Responsibilities:
• Cost Estimation: Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for civil works related to substation construction, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead costs.
• Budget Development: Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring alignment with project objectives and financial constraints.
• Cost Monitoring: Track and monitor project costs, ensuring that expenditures align with the budget and identifying any variances or discrepancies.
• Financial Reporting: Generate regular financial reports, including cost performance analysis and forecasts, and present findings to project managers and stakeholders.
• Variance Analysis: Conduct thorough analyses of cost variances and provide recommendations for corrective actions to keep projects on track.
• Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, civil engineers, procurement teams, and finance departments to ensure integrated cost management throughout the project lifecycle.
• Contract Review: Review and analyze contractor bids, change orders, and financial proposals to ensure compliance with project budgets and contractual agreements.
• Risk Management: Identify potential financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring project financial health.
Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 6 years of experience as a Cost Controller in civil engineering, with specific experience in substation construction projects.
• Skills: Proficiency in cost management and project management software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project, or similar); strong analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with construction contracts, budgeting processes, and financial reporting standards.
