Job Description

We are currently looking for an experienced cost controller for our food division based in Ajman..

• Monitor and analyze the costs associated with food production, procurement, and distribution.
• Track expenses related to raw materials, packaging, labor, utilities, and other operational costs.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.
• Develop budgets and financial forecasts related to food production and operational expenses.
• Collaborate with finance and operational teams to ensure budgets are adhered to and adjustments are made as necessary.
• Oversee inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods.
• Implement inventory control measures to minimize waste and optimize stock levels.
• Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely and cost-effective replenishment of inventory.
• Conduct variance analysis to compare actual costs with budgeted costs.
• Investigate and explain any discrepancies or deviations from the budget.
• Implement corrective actions to address cost overruns or inefficiencies.
• Prepare regular financial reports and cost performance analysis for management.
• Present findings, trends, and recommendations to senior management or stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Implement and maintain internal controls related to cost management and financial reporting.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost efficiencies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement changes and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) may be preferred.
• Experience: Previous experience in cost control, financial analysis, or management accounting within the food industry is typically required. Experience with inventory management systems and ERP software is often preferred.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and trends.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial reporting and cost analysis.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED7,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month
