Job Description

1. Cost Estimation & Budgeting

• Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and feasibility studies for projects.
• Conduct cost analyses to evaluate the financial viability of proposed projects.
• Manage and update project cost reports regularly.

2. Quantity Surveying

• Prepare bills of quantities (BOQ), schedules of works, and tender documents.
• Evaluate and validate contractor claims, including variations and change orders.
• Conduct measurement and valuation of works on-site.

3. Cost Control & Monitoring

• Monitor project costs against the approved budget and flag variances.
• Implement cost-saving strategies without compromising project quality.
• Track and forecast project cash flow and ensure timely reporting.

4. Procurement Management

• Evaluate supplier and subcontractor bids to ensure cost-effectiveness.
• Negotiate contracts and procurement terms to optimize project expenditure.
• Prepare and issue contracts and purchase orders in coordination with the procurement team.

5. Contract Administration

• Manage contractual risks and resolve disputes effectively.
• Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions by all parties.
• Support the project team in drafting contractual correspondence.

6. Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare periodic cost and progress reports for management.
• Maintain accurate records of all cost and quantity-related activities.
• Ensure timely submission of financial documents and certifications.

7. Stakeholder Coordination

• Liaise with project managers, consultants, contractors, and clients to align on budgets and timelines.
• Act as a point of contact for cost-related queries during the project lifecycle.

Qualifications :

• Education : Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Experience : Minimum of 8-10 years in cost control and quantity surveying, preferably in large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.
