:We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Cost Controller to manage and oversee the financial aspects of Industrial / Warehouse construction projects. This role involves ensuring projects are completed within budget, managing financial resources effectively, and working closely with various departments to maintain project budgets and implement cost control measures.Key Responsibilities:Budget Management:
Manage and control financial aspects of construction projects.
Collaborate with Estimation, Project Managers, and other stakeholders to establish and maintain project budgets.
Confirm project budgets before commencement and ensure budget approval from Project Managers.
Monthly Cost Reporting:
Prepare Monthly Cost Reports (MCRs) for all projects.
Analyze actual billing against costs incurred.
Conduct variance analysis to identify and address discrepancies.
Forecasting and Risk Management:
Prepare financial forecasts and projections for future project costs and funding requirements.
Identify financial risks and develop risk mitigation strategies.
Cost-Benefit Analysis:
Evaluate construction methods, materials, and design options.
Analyze the impact of project delays on costs.
Earned Value and Stock Analysis:
Assess the value of completed work and compare with actual costs.
Review and analyze project stock details.
Labour and Equipment Cost Monitoring:
Collect and review labor deployment details and evaluate productivity.
Maintain and monitor hired equipment utilization.
Budget Monitoring in PACT:
Monitor budgetary performance and approve Material Requests (MRs) and Local Purchase Orders (LPOs).
Ensure alignment of MRs and LPOs with project budgets and cost control objectives.
Onsite Inspection:
Conduct site visits to verify resource utilization and adherence to policies.
Implement and maintain a site visit checklist for auditing purposes.
Cost Estimation and Continuous Improvement:
Review and assess cost estimates for variations and change orders.
Identify and implement process improvements for cost control and financial management.
Perform final cost analysis and submit closure reports.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Proven experience as a Cost Controller or similar role in construction industry.
Preferably to have at least 7yrs UAE experience in industrial / warehouse projects.
Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Proficiency in cost control software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
