Job brief We are looking for an experienced Cost Accountant to join our accounting department. You\xe2\x80\x99ll be responsible for performing cost analyses and preparing budget reports. You should possess excellent analytical skills along with the ability to combine different data and calculate profit margins. Our ideal candidate should also be able to create detailed reports that present cost-effective solutions for our company. The cost accountant should have strong analytical and technology skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. Must have at least three years of hands-on experience in costing in manufacturing companies, as well as minimum of a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in accounting or finance. Main responsibilities \xef\x82\xb7 Collecting and analyzing data about manufacturing and company\xe2\x80\x99s operational costs. \xef\x82\xb7 Setting standard costs of manufactured goods. \xef\x82\xb7 Developing and analyzing cost standards and maintaining the costing system. \xef\x82\xb7 Monitor the unit cost, the accumulation of all direct labour, overhead and other manufacturing-related expenses to ensure control on cost. \xef\x82\xb7 Preparing periodic reports comparing standard prices to actual production costs and presenting findings to management. \xef\x82\xb7 Carrying out cost-volume-profit (CVP) analysis and life cycle cost-benefit analysis. \xef\x82\xb7 Advising executives and management on appropriate costing based on financial data to reduce cost and maximize profit. \xef\x82\xb7 Monitor the inventory and review related adjustments journal entries at month-end. \xef\x82\xb7 Review the cost of goods sold monthly. \xef\x82\xb7 Support in Performing month-end accounting close. \xef\x82\xb7 Supervise and participate in physical inventory counts to ensure the accuracy of inventory records. \xef\x82\xb7 Maintaining the general ledgers and reconciling AP and AR.
