Job Duties and Responsibilities
• Provide direction, oversight, and mentorship to the planning team to achieve organizational goals.
• Promote a collaborative and performance-driven team culture.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and identify areas for improvement within the team.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, including schedules, resources, and risk assessments.
• Evaluate and optimize planning systems to improve project outcomes and efficiency.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget while meeting quality standards.
• Collaborate with senior management to align planning strategies with business objectives.
• Act as the primary point of contact for planning-related matters and facilitate cross-departmental communication.
• Provide expert advice to stakeholders regarding scheduling, resource allocation, and risk mitigation.
• Continuously enhance planning practices by adopting the latest tools and methodologies.
• Lead initiatives to standardize processes across projects and teams.
• Implement lessons learned from previous projects to refine future planning efforts.
• Generate accurate and detailed reports on project performance, forecasting, and risk mitigation.
• Use data-driven insights to inform decision-making and strategic adjustments.
• Maintain a comprehensive repository of planning documentation and ensure its accessibility to relevant stakeholders.
Job Qualifications/Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent discipline. Advanced certifications in project planning (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are a plus.
• At least 17-18 years in project planning within the construction sector.
• Proven leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate.
• Advanced proficiency in project planning tools, such as Primavera P6 or equivalent software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on risk management.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple priorities effectively.
• Superior communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
• High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality outcomes.
