With anticipated plans to undergo an Initial Public Offering (IPO) next year, this represents an exceptional opportunity to join a rapidly expanding enterprise and advance your career to new heights.The RoleThe Corporate/Financial Controller will play a key role in overseeing financial reporting, ensuring IFRS compliance, managing payroll, and from time to time assisting the CFO with budgeting, forecasting, and the implementation of new financial systems. The role will also involve managing the consolidation of multiple entities. Experience in preparing a company for an Initial Public Offering (IPO) would be highly advantageous. This role includes managing compliance with financial regulations and contributing to the company\'s overall financial strategy.
Prepare, review and submit accurate consolidated financial statements and reports to the Group in line with IFRS.
Manage the consolidation of financial statements for multiple entities.
Ensure compliance with all applicable financial laws and regulations.
Work with the Finance Manager to maintain internal controls to safeguard financial assets and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
Oversee payroll processing to ensure timely and accurate payments to employees.
Manage payroll-related reporting and compliance with local labor laws.
Assist the CFO in developing monthly management reports, annual budgets and long-term forecasts.
Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
Contribute to the preparation of the company for an IPO, including financial audits, documentation, and compliance readiness.
Liaise with external auditors and legal teams during the IPO process.
Lead or support the implementation of new financial systems to enhance reporting, payroll, and compliance functions.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure a smooth transition and integration of systems.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
The Candidate
Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or ACCA certification preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a financial controller or similar role.
Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial compliance regulations.
Experience in the publishing industry is desirable but not required.
Proven experience in managing entity consolidation and generating financial reports is a must
Experience of preparing a company for an IPO is a plus.
Proficiency in financial systems and ERP software; experience with system implementation is advantageous.
Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
