Copper Smelting Supervisor

Job Overview:

will be responsible for overseeing the operation in our Copper smelting plant to ensure efficient, safe, and environmentally compliant production. You will directly manage a team of furnace operators and provide technical guidance to ensure the production goals are met.

Responsibilities:

1. Supervise the operation of copper smelting plant to ensure efficient and effective production.

2. Lead, motivate, and manage a team of furnace operators, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.

3. Ensure adherence to all safety procedures and protocols, promoting a safe working environment for all employees.

4. Monitor production processes, identifying and troubleshooting any issues that may arise, and implement corrective actions promptly to minimize downtime.

5. Maintain and enforce quality control standards to ensure that all lead produced adheres to industry and company specifications.

6. Conduct regular inspections of the rotary furnaces, identify maintenance and repair needs, and coordinate with the maintenance team to schedule and carry out necessary repairs.

7. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for rotary furnace operations, updating as needed to improve efficiency and productivity.

8. Collaborate with other departments, such as maintenance, logistics, and quality control, to optimize overall plant performance and ensure smooth operations.

9. Continuously monitor and optimize the energy usage and fuel consumption of the rotary furnaces to minimize costs and reduce environmental impact.

10. Prepare & maintain Daily reports on production performance.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5 -6 years of experience in copper smelting plant operations, with specific expertise in furnace operations.

2. In-depth knowledge of furnace operations, including troubleshooting, maintenance, and optimization.

3. Proficient in safety regulations and best practices applicable to lead smelting plant operations.

4. Familiarity with environmental regulations and sustainability practices related to lead smelting operations.

5. Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including exposure to heat, dust, and noise.

6. Spectrometer knowledge required.

7. Can speak and understand Hindi.
