Job Description

Main Tasks:

• Supervise Heavy Duty Drivers and encourage good driving behaviour by all of them. Regular briefings and reminders and where required timely feedback, reprimands or termination when assets are damaged.
• Fleet coordinator will take journeys with all drivers once a quarter to encourage safe, efficient driving and to show interest in the care of the assets. Brief summary of the drivers driving is recorded.
• Ensure all vehicles have:

Daily inspections carried out by drivers.

Monthly inspection carried out by fleet coordinator on fire extinguisher and first aid kit.

All damage / safety issues reported to the Workshop.

• Investigate any damage caused by drivers, including wearing parts (such as gearboxes and clutches caused by poor driving).
• Manage drivers use of the yard, ensure it is kept empty of waste, well organised and according to traffic plan.
• Communicate with Commercial Coordinators to understand the required collections and mobilisations.
• Communicate with the Planning and Performance Supervisor.
• Work and communicate closely with the Workshop to understand progress of repairs and share the priorities of operations.
• Schedule jobs requested by customers using bolisaty. Keep bolisaty upto date and organised.
• Follow company procedures in accidents/incidents and vehicles damage etc.
• Understand his/her role in the event of an emergency and participate in emergency drills and exercises.
• Manage schedules of drivers to ensure customer satisfaction, acceptable service levels (24 hours for on call service).
• Ensure vehicles are available for PPM as per workshop schedule with 95% PPM achieved on time.
• Daily communication with colleagues in the commercial and operations teams.
• Recording duty times, preparing timesheets and controlling overtime to be in line with the budget.
• Minimise subcontractors to remain with the Budget.
• Plan one off jobs on allocated customer sites, in other words, site visit, mobilizing and demobilizing and keep record to assist invoicing.
• Plan mobilisations, including labour and drivers, ordering containers and equipment.
• As per request from finance follow/communicate with Bad Debt customers.
• Regularly review team size to ensure the number of employees matches contracts' requirements and workload.
• Support HR in hiring new employees for his/her team by interviewing and assessing candidates.
• Plan subordinates work schedule and leave/off days to agreed levels to ensure continuity of business, ensure employees take leave in line with UAE labour law and return from leave on time.
• Follow company procedures for emergencies, vehicle damage etc.
• Undertake inspections of subordinates. Follow up on the preventive and / or corrective actions identified during the inspections and monitor the timely closing of the actions.
• Diligently perform any other reasonable work or related tasks at the request of his/her manager.

Requirements:

• Hold a relevant educational qualification from a well recognized and reputable academic institution fit for the required job function.
• At least 5 years of proven industrial and preferably in the waste management, oil, gas or related sectors in a well reputed organization with at least 3 years in supervisory level.
• At least 2 years of proven experience in fleet Management.
• Proficiency in Google suite and apps.
• Excellent planning and organizing skills.
• Excellent workload and time management.
• Excellent report writing skills with attention to detail, correctness and accuracy with good use of English and technical terminology.
• Able to create new reports and tools for use by employees and the department's manager.
• Good command of written and spoken English and Hindi/ Urdu is a must.
• Good knowledge of waste management practices and hazards.
• Valid UAE light vehicle driving license is a must.
• General knowledge of Environmental hazards and HSE principles.

License/Certification:

• UAE Driving License (Preferred)
