Reviewing the tenders and contract documentation for individual packages.
Coordinating/liaising, as necessary, to address all correspondence to and from the client and/or the contractor that raise contractual issues.
Meeting/liaising with the Contractor/Consultant to resolve outstanding/ongoing contractual issues.
Drafting correspondence on behalf of PD, including responses to letters, etc., received from the contractors, other consultants, authorities, the client, etc.
Reviewing requests for change and drafting recommendations to the client.
Drafting and issuing instructions to implement client-requested requirements.
Reviewing all claims for entitlement and issuing appropriate recommendations to the client.
Making recommendations to the client on entitlement issues.
Making recommendations to the client as to the duration of an extension of time.
Advising cost engineer/consultant as to the percentages of completed works/earned value for further processing of payment applications.
Making recommendations to the client regarding payments after receiving the cost consultant\'s recommendation as to the amount of payment.
Attendance and participation if monthly progress meetings.
Creating a tracking log for variation, claims, etc. for your package.
Documenting and tracking late and or non-performance of the contractor/consultant of your package.
Making Determinations.
Review contract requirements for testing and commissioning.
Such other requests from the PD.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
Degree in construction or legal-related discipline or similar.
Minimum 15 years\' experience in handling and managing claims and disputes on major infrastructure projects; less than 15 years\' experience considered if the substantive experience is significant.
Professional accreditation and membership industry-leading and internationally recognized institute(s).
Extensive experience working with the FIDIC suite of contracts.
Wide-ranging experience in roles and positions within the construction industry, including roles with clients and contractors/subcontractors.
