Title:Contracts and Procurement Specialist

KBR is seeking to hire a Contracts & Procurement Specialist for an EPCM project to be based in Abu Dhabi.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Protects the Company from any contractual risk by working in a process of continuous improvement to encourage/promote the introduction and implementation of best practice contracting methodology and practices.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Reports to Procurement Manager Prepare Strategy & Bid List (SBL) for approval by relevant Governance Board. Prepare all necessary RFP and Contract documentation for issue through ARIBA OneSource and all Subsequent clarifications and Supplier. Prepare and develop Bid Evaluation Plans (BEP). Prepare Recommendation for Award (RFA) for approval by relevant Governance Board and
Undertake Contract Management activities including the issuing of Call Offs, and support invoicequeries and any dispute resolution as required. Ensure continuous improvement of supplier performance and delivery. Support Cost reduction activities through renegotiation and/or retendering activities, including
Maintain accurate records in MAXIMO and ARIBA of all sourcing events and Contracting
Take responsibility for the Contracting and Procurement part of the Agreement with COMPANY including possible audits. Review and monitor issuance of Request for Quotation to the pre-qualified vendors for the bidding of various materials and equipment requirements of the projects. Review Negotiation Plan as basis of negotiation for shortlisted vendors and assist with negotiations as required. Review and as applicable approve Commercial Bid Evaluation, Award Recommendation and Purchase Order including all necessary and applicable contract documents. Monitor expediting of vendor with particular reference to document deliverables. Review accuracy of procurement status report and ensure follow up with specific projects. Liaises with Project Managers to address specific project issues Ethically and respectfully builds and maintains effective working relationships.
Education, Skills & Experience: BSc. University degree in Engineering. MCIPS or equivalent professional PSCM qualification.
Experience and Skill set Overall of 15+ years of experience. Total period of more than 10 years in a brownfield operation within a petrochemical / oil and gas environment as a Contracts and Procurement Specialist. Incumbent must demonstrate broad experience in Oil, Gas Brownfield and Greenfield facilities, preferably with EPCM contractors. Middle East experience in similar companies is preferred. Good knowledge of Procurement concepts and legal requirements of Purchase orders. Strong leadership and teambuilding skills. Strong understanding and experience of Projects based Contracts. Track record of successful Contract delivery in complex, challenging international environments andJoint Ventures working with NOC's. Analytical abilities including marketplace and financial analysis. Strong ARIBA and MAXIMO skills. Ability to communicate effectively with suppliers and internal clients.
