:Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Contracts Administrator to join our team. In this role you will get to perform post contract and commercial activities typical to the engineering and construction industry. This is a varied role that will be located in our head office in Abu Dhabi with the requirement to visit sites or be based at site on an as needs basis, flexibility to react to the business needs is essential.In our Abu Dhabi sector, a Contracts Administrator sits above a Senior Quantity Surveyor and so this is not an administrative role, this is a mid-level Contracts role that requires appropriately skilled and experienced people to be able to work autonomously and support projects that require additional senior support or work from the head office on claims, procurement, tenders etc. This role would suit a seasoned internationally experienced QS or a Senior QS who is ready to step up on the path to becoming a Commercial Manager. This is not a traditional measurement QS role.What You\'ll Be Doing:
Supporting Clients in the procurement of their Contractors, preparing and reviewing tender documents and managing Parsons internal resource to prepare technical information.
Managing downstream procurement for any Subconsultant procurement directly for Parsons, working with the internal Parsons procurement team to ensure the procurement process is managed accordingly and that the appropriate processes and procedures are followed.
Managing Independent Cost Consultants on various pre and post contract projects.
Lead in the evaluation of variation orders and claims and preparing reports to the Client on Contractor entitlement.
Advice on contractual matters and providing contractual support where required ensuring completeness and validity of all contractual requirements.
Take care of the financial and contractual aspects of projects / programmes and provide support on all financial and contractual matters throughout the course of the work in the project.
Assess Contractors monthly payment applications, making sure that all cost and quantity records are streamlined and kept in order.
Liaise with the measurement QS team for any measurement related and pricing matters.
Establish the way of recording the details and monitor the day works recording and process.
Advise on contractors resource allocation.
Prepare financial statements for monthly report.
Audit payments to Contractors.
Monitor Contractor final cost estimates.
Coordinate and monitor activities of the wider team where required.
Prepare Final Account with all supporting documentation.
Any other duties as required from time to time.
What Required Skills You\'ll Bring:
BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying degree.
10+ years demonstrable experience in all aspects of Quantity Surveying or Contract Administration.
Excellent written contractual correspondence and verbal communication skills in English.
Proven experience in analyzing contract variations and claims.
Experience in contracts engineering under construction supervision project.
What Desired Skills You\'ll Bring:
Qualified and chartered by a recognised international body such as Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) will be an added advantage.
Experience with FIDIC.
Due to the specific Client interfaces, experience working in the UK would be a strong advantage.
Experience working for a Consultant providing internal and external advice.
Ability to work autonomously and be a problem solver and not a problem creator.
