:Wood is currently recruiting for Contract Manager to strengthen our team in Dubai, UAEResponsibilities:
To ensure C&P activities are performed in compliance with applicable Business principles, HSSE policies, Contracting and Procurement procedure, and other guidelines
To support development and implementation of compelling contract strategies for a variety of Project Greenfield and Brownfield contracts, ensuring appropriate processes and systems are applied to ensure success
Undertake activities required by the contract strategy to deliver the Project safely and timely
Support development of robust contract management plans to ensure effective post award contract management and close out of contracts/POs
Compile and manage EoI/ITT/RfQ packages for; PMC, EPCm, Engineering, EPC, type contracts; and applying a variety of reimbursable mechanisms
Manage and maintain C&P contract/PO files including Tender Board and Project submissions, signed orders, requisitions, correspondence and other relevant documentation
Support the Vendor Management group by introducing new contractors and suppliers
Ensure SAP is appropriately updated frequently on each contract/PO, and act as a process custodian for the RtP process and pursue standardization
Report to the Head of C&P Projects and Contracts
Keep sound working relationships and work effectively with Contract Holders, whilst maintaining commercial and contractual challenge
Formulate and implement robust contracting strategies to optimise value for the business; and addressing the business and HSSE considerations, including market capacity and capability, local content opportunities, risk exposure and the overall project schedule
Manage the tender process by coordinating with the Contract Holder(s) and the Project department to align C&P activities with project schedule, obtain the Scope of Work, draft tender documents etc
To interface with all stakeholders for compilation of tender documents
Structure contracts and agreements with the objective of minimising claims and disputes
Ensure that the safety aspects with attention to contractor HSSE, as well as risk, local content, QA/QC, environmental and community relations aspects are captured and documented in the contractual requirements
Ensure that prequalification and tendering activities are carried out in an effective and timely manner in line with the C&P Procedure
Carryout effective due diligence of the Tenderers to ensure selection of tenderers of high quality
Follow up with Tenderers to obtain their acknowledgements, clarifications /extensions, issue tender bulletins/addendums, preparation of bid evaluation criteria, receive bids, arrange for bid openings, address contractual /commercial exceptions taken by bidders. Prepare bid evaluation reports, defend its content and obtain its approval
Coordinate relevant peer reviews and approval of both the Tender and final contract documents
Review and finalise robust contracting documents in cooperation with Legal department
Interact and develop submissions and supporting documents for obtaining approvals from external and internal stakeholders (Management Committee and Tender Committee)
Develop and execute robust contract management plans to support stakeholders in the post award management of a contract
Support the Project department in all kinds of contractual commitments for effective post award contract management
Ensure that contract spend is recorded in an auditable fashion. Assist in monitoring spend and each contracts ACV
Interface with Company and Group Contracting & Procurement groups
Monitor and report on contractors contracting and procurement activities and their management of subcontractors
During Project execution, ensure that Contractor complies with all the contractual obligations
Ensure that Change management process is managed effectively, by timely addressing variations and claims
Manage and maintain C&P contract/PO files including Tender Board and Project submissions, signed orders, requisitions, correspondence and other relevant documentation

Qualifications:
Direct knowledge and sound technical appreciation of all types of oil industry equipment and materials.
Comprehensive knowledge of commercial processes for contracting and procurement, including interpretation of commercial terminology and contractual clauses used in the general conditions of contract used in the industry.
A minimum experience of 5 years in Contracting & Procurement, with extensive experience of projects.
Detailed appreciation and knowledge of purchasing related systems, including: SAP and contract management systems (Ariba).
Knowledge of SAP/In depth knowledge of office IT systems.
