Job Description

Overview:

The Contract & Administration Manager is responsible for managing the contractual and administrative aspects of projects, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, and mitigating risks associated with contract execution. This role includes contract negotiation, management of contract changes, claim preparation, and ensuring adherence to company policies and legal requirements. The Contract & Administration Manager works closely with project teams, legal advisors, and stakeholders to optimize project performance and protect the company's interests.

Responsibilities:

Manage the end-to-end contract administration process, including contract review, negotiation, execution, and closeout.

Monitor compliance with contract terms and conditions, ensuring all contractual obligations are met and documented.

Lead contract change management, including the preparation, evaluation, and negotiation of contract variations and claims.

Provide guidance and support to project teams on contractual and commercial issues, mitigating risks and resolving disputes.

Develop and implement contract management policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance efficiency and control.

Collaborate with legal, finance, and project management teams to ensure alignment on contractual matters and adherence to company standards.

Analyze contract performance and prepare reports on contract status, highlighting potential risks and opportunities for improvement.

Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and resolve any contractual disputes.

Conduct training sessions on contract management processes and risk mitigation strategies for project teams. Education:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, Engineering, or a related field. Certifications / Specialization / IT Skills:

Certification in Contract Management (e.g., Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM) or equivalent) is preferred.

Proficient in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Years of Experience:

Minimum 10 years of experience in contract administration and management, preferably in the construction, oil & gas, or EPC industries. Technical Knowledge:

Contractual and Commercial Expertise: In-depth knowledge of contract law, commercial terms, and risk management practices, with a proven track record of managing complex contracts and resolving disputes.

Change and Claims Management: Strong experience in managing contract changes, preparing claims, and negotiating variations, ensuring alignment with project objectives and legal requirements.

Analytical and Negotiation Skills: Excellent analytical skills to assess contract terms, identify risks, and negotiate favorable terms, with a focus on minimizing exposure and maximizing project outcomes. Attention to Detail and Compliance: High attention to detail with the ability to ensure compliance with contractual requirements, maintain accurate records, and uphold company policies throughout the contract lifecycle.
