COMMERCIAL TRADE EXECUTIVE/MANAGER

We are hiring Senior Trade Executive for our Trade Division who should be highly experienced in NVOCC Container Trade business and should be able to deal with clients nationally and internationally.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

u Deliverable of targeted TEU Volumes throughout UAE terminal facilities as well as the targeted tonnage related to the non-container related business;

u Handling all the operational queries of related trade Sector Business/Agency Development Customers Development Keeping Tracks of Import/Export from/to different Sectors Handling Commercials / Costings

u Negotiations with Agents Handling Nomination Shipments

u Agent Follow ups Checking and Updating Detentions Checking SOAs

u Keeping track of the inventory Giving Route Planning Checking all the required documentations. Giving Booking Approvals on ERP.

u Handling Costings of the Bookings

u Agency Building.

u Slot Bookings/Negotiations with Slot Operators.

u Giving Route Planning. Complete Costing related to Revenues and Costs Sections. Proceeding with Slot Payments.

u Communication and Sorting out Agents' Problems related to bookings and documentation. Checking Pre-Alert Documents like BLs, TDRs, Manifests etc. Creating Export BLs. Containers Tracking. Inventory checking at different ports and take actions accordingly.

u Tracking Transshipment Containers. Creating export Switch and Split BLs where Giving training to new Agents and team members.

u Ensure market awareness of the advantages held by our UAE Terminals and work towards customers to build and present compelling long-term propositions which align value with the strategic direction of our business and importantly, generate new profitable business.

u Support colleagues to develop and build team and a firm multi-level stakeholder relationships

Expected Qualifications / Experience

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

An ideal candidate for this role, would have at least 10 years' experience in a container terminal operational/commercial environment.

Strong grasp of financial principles, including invoicing, payment processing, cost analysis, and financial reporting.

Sound understanding of all aspects of Port Operations, support functions and developed information systems, and the ability to analyze and interpret relatively complex statistics and data in a logical manner, are essential traits to be successful in this job.

Prior experience in Trade management roles within the shipping, logistics, or freight forwarding industry.

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple shipments simultaneously

The incumbent should be competently able to present findings and recommendations to Senior Management, within agreed timelines.

The successful candidate will have personal presence, character and determination as well as an extensive understanding of the global port, shipping landscape and trading markets.

Expected Soft Skills / Technical Skills / Others

Analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.

Proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel.

Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and willingness to work beyond regular hours if required.

Proficiency in relevant software and tools used in NVOCC operations and shipping management.

Fluent English written and spoken. Working knowledge of Hindi and/or Arabic desirable.
