We are currently seeking a dedicated Consultant / Specialist Gastrointestinal Surgeon to join our team.Responsibilities:- Perform surgeries on the digestive system including esophagus, stomach, small intestine, large intestine, rectum, liver, pancreas, and gallbladder- Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine the need for surgery and develop treatment plans- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as nurses, anesthetists, and radiologists, to coordinate patient care- Lead and supervise a team of resident doctors and nurses during surgeries- Stay updated with advancements in gastrointestinal surgery techniques and equipment- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing them with detailed information about their condition and treatment options- Follow established protocols and procedures for infection control and patient safety- Maintain accurate and complete patient records- Participate in research activities and contribute to medical publications and presentationsRequirements:- Medical degree from an accredited institution- Board certification in General Surgery and additional fellowship training in Gastrointestinal Surgery- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a consultant or specialist in Gastrointestinal Surgery- Proficient in diagnosing and treating conditions of the digestive tract- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-stress environment- Strong leadership and team management skills- Dedication to continuous learning and staying updated with advancements in the field- Commitment to providing high-quality and compassionate patient care- Valid license to practice as a surgeonWe offer competitive salary and benefits package, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development.
