As we continue to expand our services, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Consultant Palliative Medicine to join our team in Dubai.Job Summary:The Consultant Palliative Medicine (American Board) will be responsible for effectively managing and coordinating all aspects of palliative care services within our organization. This includes providing comprehensive medical care, counseling, and support to patients with serious, life-limiting illnesses. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, leadership abilities, and a strong clinical background in palliative medicine.Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive, evidence-based and compassionate medical care to patients with advanced, life-limiting illnesses.
Develop individualized care plans for patients, in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
Offer expert advice and support to patients and their families on end-of-life care and symptom management.
Conduct frequent assessments to monitor patients' physical, psychological, and spiritual needs and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
Ensure the effective management of pain and other physical symptoms through the use of medications, counseling, and other therapeutic interventions.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team to ensure coordinated and high-quality care.
Work closely with referring physicians to develop palliative care plans that complement the patient's overall treatment.
Provide education and training to healthcare providers to enhance their understanding of palliative medicine and improve patient care.
Participate in quality improvement activities and research projects to advance the field of palliative medicine.
Requirements:
American Board Certification in Palliative Medicine.
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Consultant Palliative Medicine in a reputable healthcare organization.
Strong working knowledge of palliative care principles, practices, and standards.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team.
Fluency in English (written and verbal).
Willingness to relocate to Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
