:Responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of medical diseases and conditions, as well as the provision of medical care in the field of Maternal Fetal Medicine in accordance with the current medical staff bylaws, rules and regulations and the Organization policies and procedures.Responsibilities:
Provides high quality patient care in all aspects of Maternal Fetal Medicine according to his/her approved clinical privileges.
Provides consultation (inpatient, and emergency room) upon request and responds in a timely manner within the prescribed timeframe as outlined in Organization policy.
Responsible for the timely completion, competencies, accuracy, and eligibility of the medical record.
Provides on-call service and ensures availability and response time within the prescribed timeframe in accordance with Organization policy.
Conducts daily morning rounds to identify patients ready for discharge. Ensures that discharge orders are written 24 hours prior to discharge.
Performs any other clinical responsibilities related to Maternal Fetal Medicine, as assigned.
Undertakes the administrative duties assigned by Head of Section or Chairman.
Participates in all mandatory departmental activities and serves on Departmental and Organization committees and other administrative functions, as required.
Assists the department in the development and implementation of techniques and practices that help to maximize the utilization of all resources within the department and across the Organization.
Abides by the current Organization and medical staff bylaws, all relevant rules, regulations, and policies and keeps updated of any changes that might occur.
Follows all Organization-related policies and procedures.
Participates in self-and others' education, training, and development as applicable.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Graduation from an approved medical school plus one year of internship and three years of residency; certification by the American Board of Maternal and Fetal Medicine or Member of the Royal College of Physicians (or its equivalent).
At least five (5) years of practice as a neonatologist.
Excellent command of oral and written English. Knowledge of Arabic language is desirable but not essential.
Must be highly skilled in the particular field of practice, with mature clinical judgment and ability to provide professional leadership. She must have a thorough knowledge of Medical Department policies and procedures with particular reference to the obligation to maintain the confidentiality of his work; personality which inspires confidence and trust in his patients; and adhere to Bylaws, Rules and Regulations of the Medical Organization.
Current licensure in country of origin and with DHA license to practice as a Maternal and Fetal Medicine in Dubai, U.A.E.
