Who you are
You are a dedicated Arabic Native speaking professional within the field of ICU and critical care medicine. You function well in a high-stress environment, where attention to detail and decision making skills are vital.Skills & Competencies:
  • Experienced in advanced airway management, and critical care medicine;
  • Advanced ventilator management skills;
  • Supervising junior physician;
  • Participate actively in supervising the role of respiratory therapist in relation to ventilation care;
  • Excellent in verbal and written skills in English & Arabic verbal/written skills;
  • Computer skills - Microsoft Office;
  • Excellent in communication and presentation skills;
  • Background knowledge on CBAHI, CARF, JCI standards is preferred.
Education & Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years\' experience in ICU;
  • Saudi Board or equivalent in Anesthesia & ICU or General Medicine, experience in ICU;
  • SCFHS registered & licensed is preferred;
  • Additional Certifications in certain technical procedures would be added advantage;
  • BLS, PALS, ATLS and ACLS Certified is preferred.
Description
Clinical Responsibilities:
  • Examine, diagnose, and treat patients within scope of license;
  • Serve on hospital committees and perform patient rounds;
  • Assess and reassess inpatients, evaluate new referrals, and oversee tests;
  • Document clinical information accurately and timely;
  • Supervise new physicians and liaise with other specialties;
  • Prepare patients for procedures and provide flexible coverage assistance;
  • Manage ventilator, circulatory fluid, and nutritional therapy in ICU;
  • Adhere to facility policies and patient confidentiality.
Managerial/Administrative:
  • Support and follow all policies and procedures;
  • Abide by Medical Staff Bylaws and ethics codes;
  • Participate in performance management and committees;
  • Assume administrative duties as needed.
Quality and Safety:
  • Support quality improvement and clinical audits;
  • Engage in Morbidity and Mortality Conferences and Root Cause Analyses;
  • Assist with clinical/quality accreditation efforts.
Education:
  • Engage in continued medical education and teaching sessions;
  • Mentor junior staff and participate in career development programs;
  • Contribute to forward planning and clinical research.
