NRL, established in 2010, operates 10 advanced facilities, offering top-tier diagnostic services to Mubadala Health and over 250 clients. It conducts 98% of tests locally, ensuring faster results and cost savings. NRL includes seven Centers of Excellence (CoEs) with specialized experts, connecting referring physicians with in-country expertise. Its team comprises 20+ accredited pathologists and 200+ lab scientists.ResponsibilitiesA consultant clinical pathologist at the National Reference Laboratory (NRL) in Abu Dhabi is responsible for diagnosing diseases by interpreting laboratory tests and pathology specimens, ensuring stringent quality control, and engaging in research to advance diagnostic methods. They train and supervise lab staff, provide consultation to healthcare professionals based on lab results, and ensure compliance with health regulations. Their role also includes writing diagnostic reports, facilitating interdisciplinary collaboration, and managing administrative tasks such as budgeting and strategic planning at NRL.Qualifications
Bachelor of Medicine/ MBBS Degree or any equivalent qualification from an accredited institution or as defined by DOH PQR.
Certificate of Completion of specialty training recognized by DOH or as defined by DOH PQR.
Completion of residency training in Anatomic Pathology/Clinical Pathology (AP/CP) or related specialties.
Board certification/eligibility in Anatomic Pathology/ Clinical Pathology from a recognized accrediting body.
Substantial experience in clinical pathology and laboratory medicine.
Expertise in interpreting laboratory test results, diagnosing diseases, and providing consultative services.
Proficiency in performing and supervising laboratory procedures and quality control measures.
Expertise in a specific area of clinical pathology, such as hematopathology, molecular pathology, cytogenetics, immunopathology, or microbiology, depending on the needs of the institution.
Compliance with licensing and regulatory requirements set forth by the UAE health authorities.
