Job Overview: The Material Logistics Coordinator works within established Material Logistics procedures with a moderate degree of supervision. The Material Logistics Coordinator has developed knowledge and skills through formal material management and logitics coordination training and work experience. The role requires an attention to detail and an ability to clearly communicate with multiple teams to achieve the goal of getting material from one country to another and onto a marine vessel, in a timely and safe manner.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Maintains master log for P&E (Plant & Equipment), Scaffolding, HVE (High Value Test Equipment) and Consumables as per project requirements
Raises Purchase Requisitions (PR) according to project requirements, using company software (SPMAT, ORACLE)
Raises Service Requisition (SR) according to project requirements, using company software (ORACLE), through a SWO (Service Work Order) for utilities and HER (Hire Equipments on Rental) for equipment
Maintains a log of calibration certification, hire equipment, AMR (Additional Material Request) and FTM (Field Transfer Material)
Check all containers, loose material and equipments prior to mobilizing to offshore with Project Supervisor and complete MAN (Material Acceptance Note) which has to be signed and recorded
Ensure reconciliation of all materials and equipment after project completion
Completes RTS process (Return To Store) for construction consumables and project material after project completion.
Provides effective communication across all related McDermott departments as below:
Co-ordinates with Supply Chain Management to confirm ordered materials and construction consumables are received (including medicine and stationery)
Co-ordinates with Rental department to confirm hired equipment is available on requested dates
Co-ordinates with Logistic department to transfer material by road, by air or by sea. Follow up with logistic requirements./. documentation required to send materials (SWO, COO, CDE/CIPL, Inbound documents etc.)
While stationed Offshore onboard construction vessel:
Ensures valid certificates are available for all equipment.
Maintains inventory log at offshore site location
Ensure stock levels are maintained to suit project and AMR to be raised accordingly for difference
Cargo manifests are required to be neat and have correct clear description and quantities of items
Ensure Field Transfer Material (FTM) is raised material post onshore / offshore campaign
Establishes good communication with offshore lead and base management
Essential Qualifications and Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Familiarity with computer software and MS Office
Good understanding of the English language
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
Compliance with McDermott safety and ethics standards
Basic understanding of HSE/quality principles and their application
Ability to work in a team
Flexibility and adaptability
