Monitor compliance with HSE procedures and standards in accordance with applicable laws, Health and Safety Documentation and Environmental Management Manual.
Always ensure collaboration and support to HSE colleagues both in the preparation phase through the verification and approval of the MS/JSA and during the execution of the works.
Make sure that work permits are obtained before to start any activity and ensure related compliance with permit conditions.
Being responsible for the highest standards in housekeeping for assigned area and to promptly inform Safety Supervisor about unsafe work procedures.
Be diligent and proactive in correcting unsafe acts, unsafe behaviours and unsafe conditions.
Be diligent in reporting to the appropriate level of Construction Supervision and to Subcontractor management all unsafe acts, unsafe behaviours, and unsafe conditions.
Participate and assist the incident investigations.
Monitor coordination between all the discipline supervisors/superintendents working in the assigned area to coordinate all the activities and manage related interferences.
Monitor all the activities assigned to all the superintendents/supervisors keeping track of the activities carried out through work files, monitor continuity of work effort even in the event of absence through sharing of information and teamwork.
Check the efficient productivity of Subcontractors activities with regards to the quality and quantity (jointly with Project Control).
Make sure that all the activities are carried out on time, otherwise check deficiency to promptly define and implement corrective actions that allow compliance with the schedule.
Verify and discuss with Contractor Engineers modifications ensure that Contractor obtains prior approval from Employer if works must be executed in different way as indicated on drawings.
Propose any improvement solution that arises during the execution of the works and support the Employer in answering to Contractor's site queries.
Monitor that no change is implemented by Contractor prior to approval by Employer.
Verify that Contractor accurately notifies Employer for any extra work not included in the contract or for field modification, for further approval by other functions, before the execution of the work itself, as per procedure by Subcontracting Department.
Check by the Manpower presence report the quantity of Subcontractors manpower present on site (jointly with Subcontracting Management).
Verify Contractors progress status and check that progress figures reflect the trues progress of the work.
Review and check Contractors monthly/weekly progress of work.
Ensure in advance that no hold can occur for Subcontractors work due to lack of needed engineering documents and materials or work area accessibility to avoid Contractor claims (jointly with Project Control and Home Office Engineer).
Monitor the status of the work at all times and identify areas where Contractor is falling short of planned progress. Notify Contractor and establish mitigations actions to recover/address the shortfall.
Monitor Contractor's compliance with the preservation of Free Issue material supplied by Employer.
Monitor Contractors compliance with Employers completions process, specifically the implementation of the \'Go Completions\' software.
Identify in good time the need for Employer/Vendor inspectors to attend Contractor's yard.
Support Employer's discipline supervisors to prepare and issue to Contractor the Construction and Final Punch Lists and follow up the completion of relevant outstanding works.
Support Employer's supervisors to make sure that Contractor follow the provisions of the approved ITP and the inspections are called timely and in according to the procedure established for the project.
Employer's supervisors to always ensure collaboration to QC Inspector during the execution of the related inspections.
Employer's supervisors identifying possible non-Conformities according to the Quality Assurance System Procedure and suggest the related Corrective Action.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related experience;
Have solid background of all construction discipline with specific experience in substation building, civil activities, electrical installations, and HVAC systems.
10+ years of experience in management of construction site.
