We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Construction Materials Salesperson to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for selling construction materials and services to contractors, builders, architects, and other clients in the construction industry. This role requires strong product knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
:
Sales & Business Development
:
Promote and sell construction materials, including cement, bricks, tiles, steel, paints, etc.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the construction industry.
Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients through regular visits, calls, and follow-ups.
Provide quotes, negotiate prices, and close sales deals.
Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
Product Knowledge & Expertise
:
Stay updated on the latest construction materials, trends, and technologies.
Advise clients on the best materials for their specific projects and requirements.
Demonstrate product features and benefits effectively to clients.
Customer Relationship Management
:
Build long-term relationships with key stakeholders, including project managers, construction firms, and suppliers.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries, complaints, and providing solutions to ensure satisfaction.
Maintain accurate customer records and track sales progress.
Market Analysis & Competitor Research
:
Monitor market trends, customer demands, and competitor activities.
Gather feedback from customers to improve product offerings and sales strategies.
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional strategies.
Administrative Duties
:
Prepare sales reports, orders, and other documentation related to sales activities.
Ensure timely delivery of materials to clients and coordinate with suppliers and logistics teams.
Manage the documentation related to sales contracts and invoicing.
Collaboration & Teamwork
:
Work closely with the logistics, procurement, and accounts teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment.
Attend regular sales meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date on company policies, product knowledge, and sales techniques.
Skills & Qualifications
:
Proven experience in sales, preferably in the construction or building materials industry.
Strong knowledge of construction materials and their uses.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritize tasks effectively.
Self-motivated and target-driven with a strong sales focus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
