Major duties/responsibilities · Provide guidance and support for Contractor's construction activities, including planning, scheduling, and execution, to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of the project (from conception to completion). · Provide leadership and guidance to construction teams, resolving conflicts, motivating personnel, and fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and excellence. The Construction Manager is supported by construction supervisors following up physically at the various sites. · Support the EPC Contractor to plan well ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones. · Coordinate with project management teams to track and report on project performance, including progress, costs, and risks, and take proactive measures to address deviations from plans. · Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations. · Support the EPC contractor with interfaces to other 3rd party contractors on site to detect bottlenecks and helps resolving them. · Supports the Interface Manager to allow EPC contractor to obtain permits and licenses. · Analyses, manage, and mitigates risks by ensuring that the EPC contractor follows quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques. · Perform other related duties as assigned.
Your profile
Education requirement (Bachelor degree in Construction Management, Engineering or equivalent)
Ability to plan and see the "big picture" and to steer relevant stakeholders accordingly
Strong understanding of construction principles, practices, and methodologies, with expertise in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate construction teams to achieve project goals.
Number of years of experience required is 15+ years
A hands-on Construction Manager having experience in Oil & Gas sector, ideally in a refinery, large marine terminal or process plant.
Geographic focus in Middle East / Abu Dhabi
Mandatory that the candidate has a proficiency in in the standard MS Office applications, as well as exposure to design aspects, or similar and knowledge of MS Projects
Ability to work in a JV environment and balance own Advario minimum requirements with JV Partner requirements.
Working conditions
Work requirement is to be physically on-site 5 days a week during working hours
5% of travel may be required
