:Wood is currently hiring PMC Construction Manager to be based in Abu Dhabi, UAEResponsibilities:
Oversee construction milestones and provide guidance as per client standards
Responsible for management and execution of multiple field disciplines or a subset of assigned construction project(s) in accordance with the requirements of the contract between the company and the client, and in accordance with the company\'s operating policies and principles.
Be an HSES role model and ensure that HSSE is never compromised
Responsible for execution of the work in accordance with the quality standards and requirements specified for the project. Manages and controls project cost and schedule of assigned disciplines / subset of onsite construction.
Management of installation, commissioning and completion activities of materials and equipment.
Coordinates field personnel work schedules to maximize utilization and ensure work is delivered on schedule
Ability to monitor work progress and report against the plan.
Ensure safety, quality and environmental responsibilities and accountabilities have been defined and communicated to workers engaged within their area(s) of control
Ensure all workers within their area(s) of control receive appropriate training to perform their work in a safe, legal, and competent manner including any Health and Safety and site-specific inductions
Initiate safety, quality and environmental processes within their area(s) of control, including toolbox meetings, inspections, and the identification, assessment and control of risks in accordance with Wood and ADNOC requirements
Implement Project Quality Plan and direct resources to ensure facilities are completed to project specification and requirements
Manage the creation and maintenance of the Project Level baseline schedule
Responsible for ensuring Early Work progress and performance are on schedule and as planned
Identify and lead interface management with HSSE / Logistics / Operations on the Project
Manage site constructability and construction input during detailed design and construction
Manage all modularization, prefabrication and installation works
Review and provide input on staffing and skill levels for all project / construction personnel at site and modularization / prefabrication areas
Review and approve Early Works Contractors construction plans, procedures, and schedules
Promote HSSE awareness and ensure that all Project HSE requirements are implemented and adhered to
Provide effective and practical site and Project management during the EPC phase of the project
Provide early warning notification of any potential commercial / schedule risk or opportunity to the Project Manager for further action
Manage all variation orders through the approved Project Change Order process
Report progress against plan to senior management be responsible for generating PowerPoint presentations and reports to ensure appropriate communication up the management chain
Review / Validate detailed design and Engineering Deliverables
Participation in design review, 3D Model Reviews, Value Engineering, Risk Management workshops, constructability Reviews, PHSERs, IPR etc.
Carryout Technical Evaluation of Bids, Issue Bid Technical Clarifications, Technical Evaluation Reports and Recommendations
Review and approve project \'\' AS BUILT\'\' and project Design Dossier prepared by EPC Contractor
Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in Engineering or equivalent from a recognized university
Membership in a recognized professional engineering association would be highly preferred
A minimum of 20 years\' experience in construction management and execution of major downstream Oil & Gas projects, of which a minimum of twelve years\' experience as construction manager or leadership roles with proven track record for offsite assignments in downstream projects
Solid knowledge of ADNOC\'s WMS system
