Job Description

The Construction Manager - Structural is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of structural construction projects. This includes managing the planning, execution, and completion of structural components within the project timeline and budget. The role requires extensive knowledge of structural engineering, construction processes, and project management principles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Planning:
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction specialists to develop detailed project plans.
• Review structural designs and drawings to ensure accuracy and feasibility.
• Prepare cost estimates and budgets for structural components of the project.
• Project Management:
• Oversee and manage all on-site activities related to structural construction.
• Ensure all work complies with building codes, safety regulations, and project specifications.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
• Quality Control:
• Conduct regular inspections of structural work to ensure adherence to standards and specifications.
• Identify and address any issues or defects in the construction process.
• Maintain detailed records of inspections, changes, and progress reports.
• Resource Management:
• Allocate and manage resources, including labor, equipment, and materials, efficiently.
• Ensure that all team members and subcontractors are adequately trained and equipped for their tasks.
• Safety Management:
• Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
• Conduct safety meetings and training sessions for on-site personnel.
• Investigate and report any accidents or incidents promptly.
• Communication and Coordination:
• Serve as the primary point of contact between the project team and clients.
• Provide regular updates on project status, including progress, challenges, and changes.
• Foster a collaborative working environment among all project participants.
• Budget and Schedule Management:
• Monitor and control project expenditures to stay within budget.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of milestones.
• Address any deviations from the plan and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Risk Management:
• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Proactively address any issues that may impact project timelines or quality.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of [X] years of experience in construction management, with a focus on structural projects.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and construction management software (e.g., Procore).

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Working Conditions:

• Primarily on-site work with some office duties.
• May require working extended hours, weekends, and holidays depending on project deadlines.
• Exposure to construction site environments, including varying weather conditions and physical hazards
