Job Title: Construction Manager (Aluminium Industry Construction) Location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates Duration: FTC 24-30 months Tentative start: June 2024 Job Purpose: We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager with extensive expertise in aluminium industry construction to oversee and manage a high-profile project. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing large-scale industrial construction projects, particularly in the field of aluminium industry construction in the Middle-East, and will be adept at coordinating with high-level stakeholders. This role requires exceptional leadership, communication, and project management skills. Roles and Responsibilities:
Contract length: 24 months Pay: AED30,000.00 - AED36,000.00 per month
- Oversee and manage all aspects of the construction project from inception to completion.
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring adherence to all project specifications and contractual requirements.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other construction professionals to ensure the seamless integration of aluminium construction elements.
- Lead and manage a team of construction professionals, providing guidance, direction, and support to ensure project goals are met.
- Ensure all construction activities comply with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
- Manage procurement of materials and resources, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely delivery.
- Liaise with high-level stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities, providing regular updates, and addressing any concerns or issues that arise.
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks to ensure work is progressing according to plan and meets the highest standards of quality.
- Resolve any on-site issues or conflicts that may arise, maintaining a focus on project timelines and budgets.
- Prepare and present detailed project reports, including progress updates, financial status, and risk assessments.
- Bachelor\'s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline essential. Advanced degree / related industry qualification desirable.
- Minimum of 20 years of experience in the construction industry, with at least 15 years in a senior or managerial role in aluminium industry construction projects or similar.
- Extensive proven experience in construction within the aluminium industry, with a strong understanding of the unique challenges and requirements of this specialization.
- Proven experience in managing construction projects involving aluminium, scrap processing, VDC pit operations, cast house management, and recycling processes.
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with high-level stakeholders.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team of construction professionals.
- In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and applicable legal regulations in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to handle complex and unexpected issues.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Visa, medical insurance will be provided
- Must be available for interview in UAE and available to start June 2024
- Salary up to AED36,000 per month (including all allowances), depending on experience.
- Full-time, 6 days a week (Monday to Saturday)
