This role will have impact on the organization by aligning teams around best practices of Engineering Configuration Management processes, supporting the implementation of these processes to make improvement opportunities a reality and maintaining the integrity of the productsKey Accountabilities:
Understand all principles of Documentation Management and Control and implementation of processes.
Excellent experience in Configuration Management Processes and policies as well as in identifying all Configuration Management requirements.
Generation of Configuration Management Plan as per Product / Project requirements.
Establish training content and lead training activities on PLM/CM best practices and principles.
Liaise with the project team to give guidance on the implementation of Configuration Management Principles.
Identity CM requirements that cover the system, hardware, software, and data/info requirements.
Collaborate with the project design/development team to provide support on multiple, concurrent configuration baselines aligned with the CM Plans.
Investigate process improvements and make recommendations for system changes.
Ensure adherence to the established CM procedures in the context to the respective projects.
Deliver training classes on Best Practices and Standards as applied to Configuration Management and PLM to our end users.
Coach, and guide engineers on the Configuration Management Processes they need to follow.
Experience & Education Qualifications:
Minimum: 10+ years of extensive hands-on experience in configuration management / document control within a systems engineering methodology in a technology company.
Preferred: 7+ years of experience in an Aerospace or Defence environment
Be certified in and International CM Course (Minimum 4 Courses)
Technical background with diplomas in either Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
Knowledge of ANSI/EIA 649
15+yrs In-depth understanding of system engineering principles.
10+ years leadership experience in PLM System implementation.
