Job Description

Experienced teacher/instructor required to teach computerized accounting subjects and responsible for instructing students on the principles of computerized accounting systems and software. The teacher will develop and deliver curriculum, assess student performance, and provide guidance to help students achieve their learning objectives in accounting.

Key Responsibilities

• Curriculum Development : Design and develop comprehensive lesson plans and instructional materials that align with curriculum standards.
• Instruction : Teach computerized accounting courses, including but not limited to software such as QuickBooks, Sage, and Microsoft Excel for accounting.
• Student Assessment : Evaluate and assess student performance through assignments, tests, projects, and practical applications.
• Classroom Management : Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Technology Integration : Incorporate current technologies into the classroom to enhance the learning experience.
• Professional Development : Stay updated with the latest developments in accounting software and teaching methodologies.
• Student Support : Provide academic support and guidance to students, helping them understand complex accounting concepts and applications.
• Administrative Tasks : Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other required documentation.
• Collaboration : Work with colleagues to improve instructional practices and share resources.

Qualifications

• Education : Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A master's degree or higher is preferred.
• Experience : Previous teaching experience in accounting or a related field. Professional experience in accounting is highly desirable.
• Certifications : Relevant teaching certifications or license.
• Technical Skills : Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, and Microsoft Excel. Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) is a plus.
• Soft Skills : Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to engage and motivate students.
• Adaptability : Willingness to adapt to different teaching environments and diverse student needs.
