Communications and Marketing CoordinatorWe are working with The Sparkle Foundation - to recruit a Communications and Marketing Coordinator. This role is crucial in elevating the organisation\'s presence and the CEO\'s personal brand across various platforms.Aimed at a dynamic individual skilled in executing marketing strategies, generating engaging content, and enhancing media relations, this role seeks to propel Sparkle\'s visibility both locally and internationally. Focusing on content creation, strategic communication, and fostering donor connections, the coordinator ensures that the marketing department across the UK, UAE and Malawi are all aligned.Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Marketing and Media Relations: Assist in the formulation and execution of comprehensive marketing strategies to align with organisational objectives, securing interviews and speaking opportunities for the CEO. Handle media inquiries and collaborate with external partners, such as PR agencies, to boost the organisation and CEO\'s image.
  • Content Creation and Brand Management: Produce engaging marketing materials and manage the CEO\'s branding efforts, ensuring brand consistency across all communications. This includes developing narratives for fundraising, overseeing newsletters, and managing merchandise to enhance brand visibility and support fundraising efforts.
  • Digital Engagement and Performance Analysis: Lead digital marketing initiatives to drive engagement and analyse performance metrics to inform future strategies. Maintain an organised repository of marketing materials and generate insights through analytics dashboards.
  • Collaborative Campaign Development and Execution: Collaborate with the Marketing Manager, Fundraising and Partnership Manager, Graphic Designers, and photographers to create and implement innovative campaigns. Ensure effective internal communication to maintain team alignment with marketing goals.
  • Event and Fundraising Support: Provide marketing support for events and contribute to fundraising campaign materials, aligning content with the organisation\'s mission. Manage fundraising platforms and develop engaging collateral to motivate donor involvement.
  • Award Applications and Speaking Events: Proactively identify and apply for awards that recognise Sparkle\'s and the CEO\'s achievements, and secure speaking engagements that elevate their profiles. Design marketing campaigns that spotlight Sparkle\'s brand, leveraging cause marketing partnerships to maximize fundraising efforts and brand visibility.
  • Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement: Monitor marketing expenditures to ensure adherence to budgetary limits, manage marketing SharePoint for organisational efficiency, and supervise volunteers and interns within the marketing department. Stay informed of industry trends and advancements in marketing tools to continuously refine and improve marketing efforts.
Requirements:
  • Organisational Skills: Skilled in managing digital file systems like SharePoint, ensuring efficient document labelling and organization.
  • Confidence and Assertiveness: Must be confident and assertive, capable of advocating for the charity\'s interests and securing opportunities.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent in both verbal and written communication, able to effectively represent the charity and articulate its mission.
  • Content Creation: Proficient in writing engaging content tailored to various audiences, with the ability to inspire and mobilise.
  • Networking: Possesses a strong network within the industry, media, and potential partners to leverage for the charity\'s benefit.
  • File Management: Adept at digital file management, maintaining an organised and accessible digital workspace.
  • Proactivity: Demonstrates initiative in seeking out opportunities for the charity, from media engagement to partnership development.
  • Adaptability: Flexible and responsive to feedback, able to adjust strategies and content as needed.
  • Strategic Thinking: Capable of strategic planning in marketing and communications efforts, aligning with organisational goals.
  • Team Collaboration: Effective at working within teams, ensuring cohesive strategy and execution across communication channels.
