Job Description

The Commodities Trader will be responsible for executing and managing trades in commodities, including metals, energy, agricultural products, and digital assets. This role involves market analysis, risk assessment, and strategic trading to maximize profitability while ensuring compliance with global trade and financial regulations. The trader will also explore opportunities in blockchain-based commodity trading, leveraging digital finance and cryptocurrency markets.Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute buying and selling of commodities (metals, energy, soft commodities) in global markets.
  • Analyze market trends, price movements, supply-demand factors, and geopolitical risks affecting commodity prices.
  • Develop and implement trading strategies to optimize profitability and minimize risk.
  • Conduct hedging and risk management using financial instruments, derivatives, and blockchain-based smart contracts.
  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, buyers, brokers, financial institutions, and logistics providers.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with trade regulations, financial policies, and risk management frameworks.
  • Explore and integrate blockchain technology, digital assets, and tokenization in commodity trading.
  • Work closely with banking, payment, and logistics teams to ensure smooth execution of trades.
  • Prepare reports on trading performance, market analysis, and strategic recommendations.
  • Stay updated on global economic trends, commodity regulations, and emerging trading technologies.
