We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Pastry Commis II to join our vibrant kitchen team. You will assist our experienced pastry chefs in creating delicious and high-quality desserts, pastries, breads, and other sweet treats. In this role, you will gain valuable experience in all aspects of pastry production, working alongside talented professionals in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities:
Assist senior pastry chefs with daily tasks, such as preparing ingredients, mixing batters, and decorating pastries.
Follow recipes precisely to ensure consistent quality and presentation.
Maintain a clean and organized work station, adhering to all safety and hygiene regulations.
Participate in inventory control and stock rotation.
Assist with cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment.
Learn and master various pastry techniques, including dough preparation, baking, decorating, and plating.
May assist with plating and presentation of desserts for service.
Demonstrate a willingness to learn and a strong work ethic.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a professional kitchen environment, preferably in a pastry role.
Strong foundation in baking principles and pastry techniques.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
Passion for pastry and a desire to develop skills further.
Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation procedures.
