Our client, one of world\xe2\x80\x99s leading sports resort is looking for a Chef De Partie, to be based in Abu Dhabi, UAE. In this role, the job holder will primarily be responsible to prepare and cook food on a daily basis according to business requirements and as directed by the Chef de Partie, Chef de Cuisine. Assisting Chef de Partie, Chef de Cuisine in meal preparations, receiving deliveries, and rotating stock. Other responsibilities includes:
Accurately measuring meal ingredients for the Chef de Partie, Chef de Cuisine
Preparing meal ingredients, which includes seasoning of different meats as well as washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables and fruits
Preparing basic salads and sauces as directed by the Chef de Partie, Chef de Cuisine
Receiving deliveries and verifying that all ordered items have been delivered and are of good quality
Taking inventory of restaurant supplies and notifying the supervisor of low or depleted supplies
Discarding all expired and spoiled food items stored in the stock rooms, refrigerators, and freezers
Performing basic cleaning duties and ensuring that workstations are properly sanitized
Plating and presenting meal items as per the Chef de Partie, Chef de Cuisine instructions
Organize assigned section with regard to mise-en-place, production and service
Take orders from Chef de Partie, Chef de Cuisine and carry them out in the correct manner
Together with Chef de Partie, Chef de Cuisine prepare daily dry store, food requisitions and kitchen transfers on the appropriate forms in order to maintain the high stock rotation desired in their section
Work to the specifications received by the Chef de Partie, Chef de Cuisine regarding portion size, quantity and quality as laid down in the recipe index
Responsible for completing the daily checklists regarding mise-en-place and food storage
Attend daily and monthly briefing with the Chef de Partie, Chef de Cuisine
Report any problems regarding failure of machinery and small equipment to the Chef de Partie, Chef de
Cuisine and to follow up and ensure the necessary work has been carried out
Keep the section clean and tidy at all times
Maintain appropriate standards of conduct, dress, hygiene, uniform appearance and professionalism
Follow company policies and procedures, demonstrate efficient teamwork and contribute to the achievement of business goals
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you need to meet the following criteria:
High School GED in Hospitality or certification in culinary arts
Fresher or minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in the same field
Previous training for Essential Food & Safety in the UAE (EFST), Food Hygiene, etc.
Has full knowledge of hygiene, hotel safety, and emergency procedure
Strong stamina because this job will require you to stand in a long period
Ability to work well with others
Ability to accept criticism and work well under pressure
To be thorough and pay attention to details
Excellent verbal communication skills
