Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Operate and manage assigned section of a kitchen, working together with the other chefs
Prepare a variety of dishes and top-quality menu items in a timely manner
Ensure the highest standards and consistent quality in the daily preparation and keep up to date with the new products, recipes and preparation techniques
Decorate and present dishes and prepared goods in a tasteful and beautiful way
Monitor and order ingredients, supplies and equipment
Meet with the team to discuss custom-made dishes or prepared goods for special occasions
Monitors kitchen equipment and reports issues to superiors
Continually develops culinary knowledge to produce high-quality meals
Assesses inventory and requests resupply when necessary
Plates meal items under the Sous Chef's supervision
Disposes of spoiled items and adheres to sanitation policies
Comply with the conditions of the food hygiene policies
Ensure the assigned section of the kitchen adheres to health and safety regulations
Coordinate and participate with other sections of requirements, cleanliness, wastage and cost control
Control food stock and food cost in your section/kitchen
Communicate assistance needed during busy periods
Ensure that mise en place for food preparation is completed in your section
Ensure the quality of the food items
Ensure the proper sanitation and cleanliness of surfaces and storage containers
Ensure constant innovation in buffet preparation and presentation
Monitor the quality and quantity of food that is prepared
Operate kitchen equipment safely and responsibly
Responsible to maintain food logs
Follow the cleaning schedules for the kitchen and clean the section and other areas as directed
Work according to the menu specifications by the Sous Chef
Be flexible and willing to help other departments at busy times as and when required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED2,800.00 - AED3,300.00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
• Abu Dhabi: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
