A character, a storyteller?Do you want to be part of a globally recognized brand that has been entertaining for over 100 years?Join the audition and start scripting your own story at Paramount Hotels Dubai!Job Purpose:Prepare all ingredient and basic mise-en-place and assist the chefs in various section of kitchen as instructed by supervisor in preparing all the dishes related to the restaurant outlet.Roles and Responsibilities:
- Support the Demi Chef and Commis in the daily operation and work
- Work according to the instructions of Superiors
- Keep work area at all times in hygienic conditions according to the rules set by the hotel
- Control food stock and food cost
- Prepare the daily mis-en-place and food production in different sections
- Follow the instructions and recommendations from the immediate Superiors to complete the daily tasks
- Perform any general duties as defined by the supervisor and help in any other department or section in the kitchen
- Ensure the highest standards and consistent quality in the daily preparation
- Collect deliveries and check that all the inter kitchen transfers correspond to the requirements
- Coordinate and participate with other sections of requirements, cleanliness, wastage and cost control.
- A total of 2-3 years Culinary experience
- 1 year minimum in a similar role in a 5 * international environment
- High school Diploma
- Previous work experience in a similar position in a four or five star hotel or for a minimum of 1 year
- Good command in English
- Able to work with speed and efficiency throughout maintaining positive attitude
- Experience working in a multi-cultural environment
- Basic Food hygiene and HACCP Overview trained
- High school Diploma
- Previous work experience in a similar position in a four or five star hotel or comparable restaurant for a minimum of 2 years
- Hotel School Degree or diploma or equivalent
- Basic Food hygiene and HACCP Overview trained
