As a Commis De Cuisine 1 you will be responsible in preparing ingredients, basic mise-en-place and assisting the chefs in various sections of the kitchen as instructed by supervisor in preparing all the dishes related to the restaurant outlet.
Functional Accountabilities
Assist in the food preparation process
Prepare meal ingredients, which includes seasoning of different meats as well as washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables and fruits
Help with deliveries and restocking
To ensure that the working area is clean at all the time
Take any notes on new recipes, new procedures, keep the learning process going at all times to improve the professional knowledge
Perform any general duties as defined by the supervisor and help in any other department or section in the kitchen
Attend any training sessions and always strives to keep abreast of any procedures and general works on upgrading the general knowledge with the help of the supervisor
Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
A total of 2-4 years Culinary experience
High school Diploma
Previous work experience in a similar position in a four or five star hotel or comparable restaurant for a minimum of 2 years
Desirable:
Experience working in a multi-cultural environment
Organized and well planned
Able to work with speed and efficiency throughout maintaining positive attitude
